Annual Red Wine & Chocolate Tour

You don’t have to like red wine or chocolate to join this day trip and hang with your Miata Club friends. Please join myself and Tommy for a full day of wine tasting and friendship.

The tour will start with your choice of late breakfast or early lunch at 11:00 a.m. at Ruby’s Diner in Woodinville (directions are at the end of this article). From there, a mini tour will begin around noon after a short driver’s meeting. No pre-run yet, but the current plan is to drive to a large group of Winery’s and Tasting Rooms near Woodinville-Redmond Rd and NE 140th.

Because this tour takes place on Valentine Weekend, most wineries offer special wine tastings, special chocolates and other foods that are paired with wines, and often, white wines are offered for tasting as well. Be prepared to pay for your tastings.

After the tastings (8 open rooms with 3 more wineries just down the road), a very early dinner is planned at Mazatlan. Their ddress is 14450 Woodinville-Redmond Rd.

The day will end at Columbia Winery, with a Romantic Tasting from 6 to 7:30 pm. Please let us know by phone call or email if you will be attending this particular tasting in order for us to make the reservations.

Directions to Ruby’s Diner in Woodinville: Take I-405 North or South to the WA-522 Exit (#23) toward US-2-Wenatchee. Take the WA 202 E. exit toward Woodinville/Redmond. Take a slight right off the ramp onto 131st Ave NE/WA-202.
